This multi-part project began with a master plan and facilities assessment for a teaching theater, evolving into a new city center facility that connects its educational mission with a more visible, active, and financially resilient future.

This multi-part project began with a master plan and facilities assessment for a teaching theater, helping the organization understand the limits and opportunities of its original home. From that work, a concept was developed for a newly renovated space that could better support performance, education, gathering, and day-to-day operations.

As the vision evolved, the theater chose to pursue a move to a city center and sell its original facility. A new facility was designed to explore a broader civic and mixed-use role, studying options for a performance and teaching venue supported by complementary uses such as multi-family housing, restaurant space, and a bar.

The result is a planning and design effort that connects the theater's educational mission with a more visible, active, and financially resilient future.
